Notch Revenue collects as little data as possible. Here is the information we process and why.
Mac app
- Stripe keys and revenue data: these stay on your Mac, with keys in Keychain. The app connects directly to Stripe and does not send this data to us.
- License verification: on first activation, the app sends your license key, a randomly generated installation ID and the app version to notchrevenue.com. Later checks use the activation credential and installation ID without resending the full license key.
- Software updates: the app checks for and downloads updates from notchrevenue.com. Requests include app version information.
- The app contains no advertising, analytics or behavioral tracking.
Purchases
- Stripe handles payments. We receive order status, amounts and the email you provide at checkout, but never your full card details.
- Your email is used to deliver your license key and receipt, and resend keys when you request them. Email addresses are encrypted in storage, with irreversible hashes used for lookup.
- We do not sell your information or use your email for marketing.
Website
- Only after you allow it, the website loads Google Analytics and uses analytics cookies lasting up to 180 days to understand public page visits, traffic sources and device information. Advertising signals and ad personalization are disabled. We do not send email addresses, order IDs, license keys, feedback or Stripe data to analytics, and do not track admin, purchase or recovery pages. URL parameters are limited to language; referrers are limited to the referring site's origin.
- You can decline or withdraw consent at any time using Analytics preferences at the bottom left of public pages. Your choice is remembered for 180 days. Declining does not affect purchases, downloads or activation.
- A necessary purchase cookie lasts up to 7 days so you can retrieve your license key in the same browser. Administrator sessions use a separate cookie valid for 12 hours.
- To prevent abuse, rate-limit records briefly retain a hash of the request source rather than the raw IP address.
- Feedback submissions and optional email addresses are retained for up to one year.
On a first visit, we select a language using the country or region provided by Cloudflare, falling back to your browser language when unavailable. A preference cookie remembers a language you choose manually for up to 180 days.
Service providers
We use Stripe for payments and receipts, Cloudflare for hosting, storage and email delivery, and Google Analytics for website traffic measurement after your consent. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can request access to or deletion of your information. Deleting purchase records means we can no longer recover your license key. Contact support@notchrevenue.com.
